Dave Gleason
My musical influences start with my Dad's LP's and
Country Band when I was a kid = Don Rich/Buck
Owens, The Everly Brothers anything with James Burton
playing guitar, Clarence White/B-Bender Tele players...
These days I enjoy listening to The Derailers, Jim
Campilongo, The Hacienda Brothers... and ANY Bakersfield, 50's-60's Country
Music I can find!
Gear and guitars = I have 2 Fender Telecasters with the
Parsons/White 'Long Throw' B-Bender modifications
installed. I use Joe Barden pick-up's in one, and Red
Rhodes' Velvet Hammer's in the other. I have used what I consider the perfect
Country Roadhouse Amp- 1970 Fender Vibrolux.
I consider myself very lucky to be able to play
California-Style Country music just about every
weekend with my good friend Johnny Dilks and with my
own Country outfit - Dave Gleason and the Wasted Days
Band. |
